Your SaaS project, guided step by step
Creating or developing a SaaS application is a complex adventure, which combines product vision, technical constraints, financial challenges and ever stronger security requirements. At WakaStart, we have designed a complete and progressive methodology, designed to transform this complexity into a clear, controlled and secure journey.
Each project follows a precise trajectory, from the exploration phase to production, and then in its long-term evolution.
The goal is not just to deliver code, but to build a SaaS product that is solid, scalable, and ready for the future.

A complete and supported mission from start to finish!
Before we code, we understand your context. Team, budget, constraints, market maturity, existing technical debt. Nothing is assumed.
Stage 0
A mission that starts with an inventory
All WakaStart projects start with an initial study phase. Whether it is a simple idea, a POC, an MVP or an application already in version 1, 2 or 3, this step is essential to understand where the project is starting from and where it can go.
Before making any technical decision, it is essential to make an accurate diagnosis. It is this first photograph of the project that makes it possible to avoid trajectory errors, unsuitable technological choices and budget or deadline excesses.
Phase 1
Analysis of the project leader
The controlled takeoff phase
The first phase consists in analyzing the project from all angles, drawing on both the expertise of the Waka teams and on artificial intelligence technologies specially designed for the analysis of SaaS projects.
After signing a confidentiality agreement (NDA), Waka teams can access strategic project information, including existing source codes when the project is already in production.
This analysis is not limited to technology.
It also focuses on the project leader himself, his team, his resources and his environment.
In particular, the following are studied: the functional and technical skills of the project leader, the composition of the team, the composition of the team, its strengths, its skills and its possible weaknesses, the financing available to complete the project, the constraints of deadlines, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity or tenders, the state of maturity of the product and its market, the state of maturity of the product and its market, the technological compatibility with the WakaStart platform, and, where applicable, the quality, complexity and technical debt of the existing code.
This phase generally requires between 4 and 8 hours of work, videoconferencing or face-to-face.
All the information collected is integrated into an AI analysis matrix specific to WakaStart, which makes it possible to objectify decisions and anticipate risks.
This phase is free for projects signed with WakaStart.
Phase 2
In-depth functional analysis
Once the project and the budget have been validated, the second phase starts. This is in-depth functional analysis, which aims to transform the global vision into a precise flight plan.
For a project in the creation phase, this step consists in comprehensively describing all the functional modules, interfaces, user profiles, rights management and all the functionalities expected for version 1.
These items are formatted using the AI-automated generation tools built into WakaStart.
For an existing project to be migrated, this phase also includes a detailed analysis of the current functioning and the structural changes planned during the rewriting of the code. The Wakalytics module is then used to analyze the existing source code, both qualitatively and quantitatively and technically.
This phase represents a 3-day service, dedicated to the collection of information, its structuring, its formatting and its return. The deliverable is a complete functional analysis, which the project leader must review, amend and validate before the launch of the development phase.
Phase 3
Create or rewrite
Once the framework has been validated, the project enters its implementation phase. Depending on the context, Wakastart activates either the Waka Creation Pack or the Waka Migration Pack. In both cases, the Waka teams take over and exploit the full power of the Wakastart platform to produce a first operational version of the project.
The Waka Creation Pack for new projects
Create a SaaS application from scratch
The Waka Creation Pack is based on an application creation process assisted by AIs such as Claude Code or Cursor, trained by Waka to strictly respect the principles of Security by Design, modern UI/UX standards via the Waka-UI library, and a rigorous organization of Git repositories.
An ergonomic model is proposed in order to validate the spirit of the screens and the user journeys.
The relational models or objects of PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases are defined from this phase, as are the rules for managing users, rights, profiles, groups and distribution networks.
At the same time, the platform automatically generates:
- The technical and functional documentation of the source code,
- API route documentation in a Swagger compatible viewer,
- The complete test sets for the back-end and the front-end (Playwright).
The objective is to deliver, in a few weeks, an application similar to an industrial product, ready to be used.
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks after signing the order form
Deliverable: operational solution deployed in production
Budget: from €3,000 per month, depending on the complexity of the project
The Waka Migration Pack for Existing Applications
Rewrite to start again on a healthy basis
The Waka Migration Pack is one of the pillars of the WakaStart platform. It allows you to completely redevelop an existing application, whether it is an MVP, a V1 or a complex V2.
Migration is not about correcting or transcribing existing code. It is based on a complete redesign assisted by AI, generating a code that is 100% new, clean, documented and secure by design.
This approach makes it possible to modernize the architecture, improve performance, rethink UX and easily open the project to new supports: web, native mobile applications or heavy desktop clients.
Duration: 4 to 8 weeks after signing the order form
Deliverable: operational solution deployed in production
Budget: from €5,000 per month, depending on the complexity of the project
Full rewriting improves security (WakaStart standards, systematic checks, complete traceability), code quality (clean, documented, maintainable) and performance (optimized data, modernized interface). Above all, this approach is a natural gateway to ISO 27001 and HDS certifications, much more effective than securing an existing code afterwards.
Stage 4
The 30-day milestone
The guarantee of trust
WakaStart offers a guarantee that is rare on the market.
Within 30 days after the first delivery, the project leader may decide to stop the project if he considers the result unsatisfactory.
In this case, the generated code remains the exclusive property of WakaStart.
None of the parties can exploit it, and WakaStart is contractually committed to never reuse this code.
This clause reflects a strong commitment: trust is based on results, not on compulsion.
Stage 5
Ownership of the code and total freedom
The financing of creation or migration packs is spread over a period of 10 to 12 months.
Once all the deadlines have been paid, the project leader becomes full owner of his source code.
He is then free to remain on the WakaStart platform or to leave the production environment to host the solution elsewhere, in total autonomy.
And after the start of production...
Evolution and support
Once the first version has been delivered, tested and accepted, the collaboration continues.
WakaStart can train the project leader's internal teams, support developments or take charge of all or part of future developments.
Hybrid models are possible, combining internal teams and Waka teams.
The methodology remains flexible, scalable and always adapted to the real context of the project.
